Life is always evolving and changing. So is time. I can hold this statement to be true and wholeheartedly believe it. Yet, why is it such a hard concept for my little brain to grasp? Is it possible to have an objective opinion if our perception is unique and a compilation of every experience and belief we possess? No nature and nurture, no internal thoughts and experiences, the same. I want to master the art of detachment. Allowing people, places, and things to come and go. These include beliefs I once possessed of myself. Who I thought I would be in the past is not who I am today. The past is a place to learn from, not live in.

A warm crescent moon lights up the bay. We pedal by dorsal fins of sharks, circling the herons wading in water, creeping for a midnight snack. Fish flying, stingrays splashing, mollusks moving, crabs crawling in the still sea. Our hands meet at the bottom of the quiet stairwell, disappearing into the ocean. We will stop before the stone becomes submerged in foul smelling water and speak of moments we dove into the ocean with nothing but our bare bodies and tender skin. Special moments. Much like this one. A snapshot of your life. Under a night sky scattered with stars light years away from us. Once dust, always dust. From dust, to dust. I imagine they look down at our minuscule lips meeting in the dead of the night in awe.Do you think the stars can sense the comfort shared between us?...and are reminded of the days they were you and I
